TRYSIS - Steady Rap (Mixtape) Download

Born and bred in the City Of Kings aka The Capital City of Rap, Trysis is one of the most talented artists to look out for in the Hip Hop Turf. After being silent in the underground scene for 4years the mic controller has decided to pick up from where he left and add more fire to the game that is undoubtedly growing fast and beginning to get recognition as we see hip hop artists being part of corporate and commercial activities and advertisements. As we wrap up 2016 his Christmas Gift is a mixtape entitled "STEADY RAPS" which includes massive skilled production from producers like "Techno Fresh Beatz, NuEra King Bobz and ShortMax. The MC who grew up listening to local n international artists like 2pac, Andy Brown, 'Beenie Man, Snoop Dogg, BobMarley and MobbDeep, fuses Hip Hop Verses with Catchy Reggae Melodys and a mixture of well thought vernacular (local language) and English fresh rhymes. The Steady Raps Vol1 (Mixtape) was finally released on the 2nd of December to massive airplay on Zimbabwe's Star FM and Skyz Metro FM where his singles are doing well. The Radioactive Mixtape Vol.1 - Conscious Sessions

On the 21st of October, www.radioactivetuts.blogspot.com released their first mix-tape compilation entitled "The Radioactive Mixtape Vol.1 - Conscious Sessions".This mixtape is basically a compilation of 10 Hip hop tracks by artists based around the world, selected by the radioactive blog team, and endorsed by Dj Afreeka (a dj from Spain). This is the first project of what is to soon become a monthly initiative, where we compile a list of tracks under a specific theme, and then release the tape .

The main aim of this project is to create a platform for not only listeners to get a diverse taste of Hip hop from different countries, but also for artists to also get exposed to other Hip hop artists who's music may have similarities. Another thing to note is that these compilations are not based on what has been released lately, but rather the content that the tracks provide. We believe Good music lasts, hence this is platform where a track that was released 3 years ago can be on the same playlist as one that was released a week ago, because they share a similar theme and both carry content that relates to the theme for the mix-tape.

For this specific mix-tape, we have featured artists such as Synik (from Zimbabwe), Raiza Biza (from Rwanda, but currently based in New Zealand), Fecko (from Nigeria) and Cadastrofik (from South Africa), just to name a few. We also included an instrumental by Suuth, a producer from Lesotho. As one can already tell, the mix-tape is indeed quite diversified, but all the tracks carry a similar element that relates to the theme "Conscious Sessions". For each mixtape that will be released each month, there will be Dj / artist who will endorse the mix-tape. For this one mix-tape, we got Dj Afreeka Ayora, becaue she's a very passionate supporter of Conscious Hip hop, and she actually runs her own club in Spain ; Studio 54.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via email or on our facebook page: Radioactive. The download link to the mix-tape can be found here

Cal_Vin and AWA Germany Tour

Bulawayo rappers Cal_Vin and AWA literally took Zim Hip Hop on to the next one by going on tour to Germany for a week for the Urban Africa Festival which ran from 27-30 September. They shared the stage with Cassper Nyovest, Gasmilla, Megaloh and Major League DJs. AWA & Cal_Vin kept all the fans back home updated via Facebook live and also showed them voluntarily performing alongside a street performer as well as dropping freestyles on Funkhaus Europa radio station in Cologne.

Cal_Vin who collaborated with Cassper Nyovest on the Z'Khuphan' remix had the crowd in both Cologne and Munich singing along to his music in Ndebele. Like always, AWA brought the energy with her as well as her unique attire for the concerts. AWA is certainly no stranger to touring having already been in Germany and the UK before. After the Germany tour, a vacation in France was up next for the Sangoma rapper. Cal_Vin has since uploaded the footage of his performances on his YouTube Channel "IamCal_Vin". That Luveve Boy also shared footage of himself in a studio session with other artist which could be a hint for more international collaborations to come. The musicians also came across the legendary Zim Hip Hop artist Metaphysics who resides in Germany during their tour.

22 October Rap Battles review

After a brief hiatus that saw the DGV Rap Battles taking a break for a couple of months it was refreshing to see the movement come back on the scene bigger and better. With the hashtag #UnlockingNewLevels it definitely was destined to break new ground. With help from Sound House the event was a success, as it introduced new Rap Battle levels as well as incorporate the Cypher element of rap and overall bring back the lyricism to Hip Hop. So the 22nd of October at Bulawayo Public Library Hall will be marked as the afternoon of bars in 2016. Drinks and snacks were served for the audience to cool down the hot bars that the battle artists had exhibited. OG Dallas VS Brintz was a firefull battle full of bars before Aykay and Psykotek shut it down the way its supposed to be done.

TV Show Filming (for Hip Hop 263 TV Show on ZTV Every Friday 21.30hrs and Channel 280 on DSTV) was in progress and we can’t wait to see how the LIVE Cyphers will look and sound. Maestro IV, Floppy X and Spliffah Ray were in an unlikely cypher that showed the diversity in skill that we need to embrace. Another Cypher had Jilly Tha Black, Luminous and Frost taking turns to melt the mic and deliver bars upon bars. The rap battle artists then did an amazing cypher together showing how this is all just a unifying sport filled with love and respect. Psykotek, Brintz, Aykay who was the Cypher Beat producer and OG Dallas who took his shirt off to go all in!

Xtreme Sanity a poetess based in South Africa then graced the stage with amazing social commentary piece filled with thought provoking bars repping the ladies and females in absentia. We definitely will be bringing in more spoken word artists to the next show on the 26th of November too. Otherwise look out for the content on Hip Hop 263 tv show every Friday at 21.30hrs on ZTV which is Channel 280 on DSTV withexclusive snippets on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/hiphop263/ and website http://www.hiphop263.com/
